Stuart Vevers is a British designer. He started his fashion career
at Calvin Klein before moving on to Bottega Veneta, Givenchy, and then Louis Vuitton. At Louis Vuitton he worked alongside Marc Jacobs who is well-known for his eponymous lines Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs.
Vevers has also collaborated with Luella Bartley and Giles Deacon.
In 2005 Vevers started with Mulberry as Creative Director and was instrumental in
Mulberry’s transformation with their leather goods and handbag lines. Vevers was successful in transforming Mulberry to “It Bag” status with his designs such as “Roxanne” and “Bayswater,” most recently spotted on soon-to-be princess, Meghan Markle! Vevers is responsible for bring bringing the Mulberry brand to the forefront of fashion.
In 2007 Vevers left Mulberry to begin work as Creative director for
Loewe, a Spanish leather luxury brand owned by LVMH (Louis Vuitton, Moet & Hennessy). At Loewe (pronounced LOH-EV-E), Vevers was hired to take the brand to the next level in their leather goods and handbag lines.
Krakoff who left to work on his own now-defunct line. With Vevers at the helm of this iconic American brand, he is using his knowledge and experience to take Coach (Tapestry, Inc. umbrella) into new icon status!
